1390 pennies

80 nickles

140 dimes

202 quarters

$116.65 is the total amount the Western Hills Youth ministry raised to help homeless teenagers in Denver. We started collecting the "spange" when we, as a church, started studying God's will for our finaces. "Why does God give us more than we need? To help those in need." WHY wanted to put this principle into practice. We set for ourselves a goal of $100, and I am proud to say our teenagers gave above and beyond.
The spare change does not go directly to the hands of homeless kids. We will send the collected "spange" to an organization in Denver called Dry Bones. Dry Bones ministry is a Denver, CO, church of Christ based organization. They help homeless teenagers in numerous ways. They will take the "spange" WHY collected and make sure the teenagers use it to get the things they need.

If you would like to learn more about the Dry Bones ministry, check out their web page: http://www.drybonesdenver.org/

Next time you see one of our teenagers, tell them how proud you are of them.
