Megan and I were discussing T.V. shows we loved to watch when we were kids, and a show I had not thought about in years came up: The Muppets. When I was a boy, I loved the Muppets. (I may attribute my love of the muppets to the similarities in hair style between myself and Animal.) As Meg and I continued talking, I started thinking what it must be like to be a puppet? What is it to have something control your hands, your feet, your mouth? Everything about you is controlled. Sound familiar? Isn't that what Christianity should be? I believe that Jesus wants to be our puppet master- to have us love and serve the way He did. Our lives, need to look like puppets controlled by Christ. People should be able to look and say "It is easy to see who his master is. We know what controls her."
The Muppets, over the years, have been on all sorts of adventures. We have a decision to make- Are we going to allow ourselves to be mastered by Christ and allow him to take us where ever he wants? If the answer is yes, be ready for the adventure because when He is in charge we will be uncomfortable and scared, but he will take care of us. He will be in control. He will be master. "Every knee will bow before me; every tongue will confess to God." Romans 14:11 Tell me: Which Muppet best represents your ability to allow Christ to be master right now? Why?
